How to cultivate an attitude with gratitude

We are all so easily caught up inside our heads and what is going wrong in our lives.

We are a consumer society taking many things for granted such as having food, a roof over our heads and hot running water.

research shows that people who take time to express gratitude daily are happier and healthier compared to those who don't.

One of the simplest ways is to remind yourself every morning of 3-5 things that you are grateful for to get off to a good start or in the evening for a better nights sleep!

Getting up in the morning is so much easier when I remind myself of how lucky I am to have a job and that I can get in to a hot shower, instead of focusing on how tired I am and how I wish I could remain in bed longer.

There may be times when it's more difficult to be thankful but there is always something, however small.
